Gilles Asquin explore ses racines normandes pour en extirper le J\u00f6rmungandr. Le serpent gigantesque de la mythologie nordique qui entoure l’oc\u00e9an qui lui m\u00eame entoure le monde des humains. Le cr\u00e9ateur a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 inspir\u00e9 par les mythes, les jeux vid\u00e9os, le cin\u00e9ma. De Star Wars ou Alien au cin\u00e9ma d’horreur en passant par les films de Guillermo del Toro. <\/p>\n\n\n

Un rendu de cheveux \u00ab\u00a0tant\u00f4t gluants et plaqu\u00e9s vers l\u2019arri\u00e8re, tant\u00f4t surmont\u00e9s de structures postiches en cheveux qui rappellent des crochets de serpent\u00a0\u00bb. Pour cette collection SS24, Gilles Asquin a cr\u00e9\u00e9 des chaussures en collaboration avec la cr\u00e9atrice n\u00e9erlandaise Amber Ambrose Aur\u00e8le. R\u00e9sultat : \u00ab\u00a0six mod\u00e8les diff\u00e9rents, de la bottines cheville \u00e0 la botte cuissarde, dans plusieurs d\u00e9clinaisons de couleurs et de mati\u00e8res, pour faire \u00e9cho aux teintes et textures de la collection\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9cise Gilles Asquin. \u00ab\u00a0Elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pens\u00e9es comme une extension du v\u00eatement, qui vient compl\u00e9ter l\u2019id\u00e9e de mutation gr\u00e2ce par exemple \u00e0 leurs talons invers\u00e9s qui rappellent un sabot d\u2019animal\u00a0\u00bb. \u00c9trange des sabots pour un serpent. Il semble exister des mutations non \u00e9lucid\u00e9es chez Asquin-Aur\u00e8le. Ou alors c’est encore un coup du Malin, moiti\u00e9 serpent J\u00f6rmungandril moiti\u00e9 bouc dionysiaque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On apprend aussi que \u00ab\u00a0la cr\u00e9atrice r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te \u00e0 sa mani\u00e8re les codes de la maison, \u00e0 travers des mati\u00e8res upcycl\u00e9es comme le cuir de poisson issu le de la p\u00e8che.
