Le livre offre aussi des portraits \u00e0 ouvrir comme celui de Karl Lagarfeld ou celui de Virginie Viard. Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00c9cole du Louvre et de l\u2019\u00c9cole du Patrimoine, Catherine \u00d6rmen en tant que conservateur du Patrimoine, a \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9e de la cr\u00e9ation du Mus\u00e9e de la Mode de Marseille avant d\u2019\u00eatre responsable du fonds XXe si\u00e8cle au Mus\u00e9e de la Mode et du Textile \u2013 Arts D\u00e9coratifs. Cette historienne de la mode est l\u2019autrice de Dior for ever, All about Yves et de Un si\u00e8cle de mode aux \u00e9ditions Larousse. Dans Absolutely Chanel, elle s’attache \u00e0 faire vivre Chanel, \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0l’exp\u00e9riencer\u00a0\u00bb. Une immersion ludique autant que document\u00e9e. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chanel lib\u00e9ratrice, avant-gardiste et communicante<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L’autrice organise son livre en un parcours th\u00e9matique. On y trouve notamment : les chapeaux, le sport, la petite robe noire, le parfum, la joaillerie, le 7\u00e8me art, un go\u00fbt d’Angleterre, les d\u00e9fil\u00e9s …. et bien entendu la communication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle d\u00e9crypte l’une des marques les plus iconiques du monde. L’une des plus avant-gardistes avec ses nouvelles coupes, ses nouveaux textiles, ses \u00ab\u00a0chapeaux insolents\u00a0\u00bb. Une Maison qui a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 lib\u00e9rer la femme – des classes sup\u00e9rieures- d’un carcan de corsets et de longueurs, qui l’a ouverte aux sports et au soleil. Chanel est une histoire de peau. Mais c’est aussi une Maison qui a su tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t maitriser la communication et varier ses sources de revenus. Catherine \u00d6rmen \u00e9voque le bijou couture qui \u00ab\u00a0invente le baroque du XXe si\u00e8cle\u00a0\u00bb. Si l’ouvrage est th\u00e9matique il retrace toutefois l’histoire de la marque. En partant de la \u00ab\u00a0pauvret\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb originelle. Gabrielle Chanel, cit\u00e9e Catherine \u00d6rmen, disait : \u00ab\u00a0Il n’y a rien qui vieillit plus une femme que ce qui fait riche, le c\u00f4t\u00e9 orn\u00e9, les plis. Je suis rest\u00e9 habill\u00e9e comme j’\u00e9tais en \u00e9coli\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb. Une pauvret\u00e9 \u00e0 la coupe impeccable et rehauss\u00e9e de bijoux. L’autrice pr\u00e9sente cette citation avec une Gabrielle Chanel posant derri\u00e8re un lion orn\u00e9 de louis d’or et de bijoux \u00e0 l’occasion de son 77e anniversaire.
