<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Que faisiez-vous pendant le confinement d\u00fb au Covid 19 ? Pas de voyage \u00e9videmment. Peut-\u00eatre une promenade dans un parc tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 ou dans un bois \u00e0 la campagne. Danielle et Luc Carton, eux, photographiaient Venise. Une S\u00e9r\u00e9nissime d\u00e9serte ou presque. Plus le moindre navire de croisi\u00e8re g\u00e9ant, plus aucun touriste press\u00e9. Mais plus non plus de vie quotidienne, les V\u00e9nitiens \u00e9tant, eux aussi, confin\u00e9s. Alors vint le temps du calme. Le temps et l’espace pour une exp\u00e9rience unique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce vide, cette situation exceptionnelle en rupture totale avec ses exp\u00e9riences pass\u00e9es, nous a fait conna\u00eetre des instants exceptionnels, de paix et de silence, o\u00f9 la beaut\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e saisie l’\u00eatre tout entier. Des instants privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s de bonheur ou l’impossible et l’inimaginable deviennent r\u00e9alit\u00e9 : voir et avoir Venise seulement pour soi, comme dans nos r\u00eaves les plus fous. Venise telle qu’on n’aurait jamais os\u00e9 l’imaginer\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\nDanielle et Luc Carton, Venise d\u00e9serte p.5<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Le couple entreprend donc une exploration urbaine dans une ville abandonn\u00e9e. Temporairement. De l’urbex transitoire. R\u00e9sultat : un beau livre comprenant six chapitres. Chacun consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 un quartier de la ville : Cannaregio, Santa Croce, San Polo, Dorsoduro, Castello et San Marco. L’ouvrage est uniquement compos\u00e9 de photos. Mais des photos sans humain, des photos avec seulement les \u0153uvres des hommes et la nature domestiqu\u00e9e des canaux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Venise d\u00e9serte s’ouvre sur San Marco, le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre des quartiers de Venise. On y voit Luc Carton de dos derri\u00e8re un objectif \u00ab\u00a0capturer\u00a0\u00bb la Place Saint-Marc (Piazza San Marco<\/em>). Elle mesure 180 m\u00e8tres de long et 70 m\u00e8tres de large. En regard le photographe semble minuscule. Seule sa casquette rouge attire l’attention. Sur les clich\u00e9s les alentours de Basilique Saint-Marc sont vides, le Palais des Doges d\u00e9sert comme l’est le Campanile. Danielle et Luc Carton s’aventurent alors sur le ponte della paglia qui fait le lien entre les sestieres de Castello <\/em>et de San Marco et explorent les rio et les canaux. Le vide toujours. Les gondoles sont immobiles. Comme d’ailleurs les chaises empil\u00e9es devant les caf\u00e9s ou encore les magasins aux devantures qui dorment. Seules les couleurs p\u00e9tillent. Le bleu des gondoles, du ciel. Les ocres du Campanile, les roses des lampadaires, le vert parfois de la lagune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au fil des quartiers Danielle et Luc Carton alternent les points de vues, les angles et les perspectives. Parfois les touffes d’arbres emplissent presque le cadre, parfois la mer semble infinie. Souvent les maisons aux couleurs bariol\u00e9es se refl\u00e8tent dans l’eau. La couleur, comme l’architecture, est omnipr\u00e9sente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un livre \u00e0 contempler, une incitation \u00e0 la m\u00e9ditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
