Art urbain We are here au Petit Palais. L’exposition accueille de grandes figures du street art comme D*Face, Shepard Fairey, Conor Harrington, Invader, Swoon … Une soixante au total \u00e9parpill\u00e9s dans les collections et r\u00e9unis dans le Salon pour un festival de 200 \u0153uvres.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est une premi\u00e8re. Le Petit Palais ouvre ses galeries historiques \u00e0 une soixantaine de street artists r\u00e9unis dans l’exposition We are Here. En guise d’accueil, la bombe a\u00e9rosol XXL aux oreilles ailes de D*Face. <\/p>\n\n\n

Les fac\u00e9tieuses cr\u00e9ations de l’artiste anglais se posent sur la Femme \u00e0 l’arc de Jules Desbois ou encore sur une bacchante lascive. Les chefs-d’\u0153uvre de la galerie des sculptures prennent alors des airs de comics, l’une des sources d’inspiration du cr\u00e9ateur. Plus loin sur une commande Louis XV, une t\u00eate d’\u00c9lisabeth II \u00e0 l’irr\u00e9v\u00e9rence douce. Dans Dog save the Queen, la Queen star tire en effet la langue comme Einstein et porte les fameuses oreilles ailes.<\/p>\n\n\n

We are Here renvoie \u00e0 un \u00ab\u00a0slogan affich\u00e9 dans divers contextes historiques et contemporains, tels que les luttes pour les droits civiques\u00a0\u00bb selon les organisateurs. D’une part Annick Lemoine, directrice du Petit Palais et d’autre part Medhi Ben Cheikh, directeur de la galerie Itin\u00e9rance. We are Here, toujours selon les organisateurs, \u00e9voque \u00e0 la fois la puissance de revendication du street art, sa l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 et sa visibilit\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shepard Fairey l’a ajout\u00e9 apr\u00e8s la vandalisation de sa fresque dans le 13e arrondissement de Paris. Revendication encore, avec Down with the King, un roi sur un tr\u00f4ne en g\u00e2teau fondant. Ridicule et d\u00e9pass\u00e9. L’auteur, Conor Harrington, se r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0l’insensibilit\u00e9 de la monarchie envers les classes d\u00e9favoris\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n

Visibilit\u00e9 avec le sublime Encomedacion, du muraliste chilien INTI dans la Galerie des grands formats. Sa madone aux cr\u00e2nes dialogue avec L’Ascension de Gustave Dor\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0C’est notamment pour cela que j’ai accept\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb pr\u00e9cise le street artist. Et voir son \u0153uvre au Petit Palais lui procure quel sentiment ? \u00ab\u00a0Je suis content \u00e9videmment mais c’est Le Petit Palais, pas le Grand\u00a0\u00bb glisse-t-il en souriant. Encomedacion est une \u0153uvre tr\u00e8s visible. Par son format qui s’ins\u00e8re dans l’architecture et par son message. Rappeler les conditions de diffusion de la peinture coloniale. Les artistes \u00e9taient souvent indigents et ex\u00e9cutaient des images qui confortaient l’orthodoxie de la couronne. INTI cite ainsi une Notre-Dame-de-la Solitude command\u00e9 en 1583 \u00e0 un peintre de Cuzco.<\/p>\n\n\n

Visibilit\u00e9 encore avec Thalassa de Swoon \u00e9galement dans la Galerie des grands formats. Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e comme la premi\u00e8re femme \u00e0 \u00eatre reconnue dans l’univers tr\u00e8s masculin du street art, Callie s’est fait un nom avec les collages de portraits XXL \u00e0 figure humaine qu’elle affichait dans les rues de Brooklyn \u00e0 l’aube des ann\u00e9es 2 000. Avec Thalassa, l’artiste r\u00e9agit \u00e0 la mar\u00e9e noire caus\u00e9e par l’explosion de la plate forme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re Deep Horizon en 2010 dans le golfe du Mexique.<\/p>\n\n\n

Visibilit\u00e9 toujours avec La divinit\u00e9 f\u00e9minine en or de Hush. L’artiste britannique, orf\u00e8vre en graffiti, collage et techniques mixtes, livre ici une peinture avec notamment des d\u00e9tails de feuille d’or de 22 carats appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 la main.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petit Palais rime avec histoire de la peinture. C’est donc avec un clin d’\u0153il \u00e0 une histoire, celle des salons des recal\u00e9s de l’acad\u00e9misme que l’exposition s’ach\u00e8ve. \u00ab\u00a0Le Salon des Refus\u00e9s ou le Salon d\u2019Automne, sont \u00e0 l\u2019origine de nombreuses r\u00e9volutions artistiques au tournant des XIXe et XXe si\u00e8cles. Dans cet esprit, les \u0153uvres r\u00e9unies dans cette salle ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es par des artistes majeurs qui ont \u00e9crit et continuent d\u2019\u00e9crire l\u2019histoire du mouvement Street art\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9clarent les organisateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au total pr\u00e8s de 200 cr\u00e9ations investissent les murs de la salle Concorde du Petit Palais. Des centaines de \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9jeuners sur l’herbe\u00a0\u00bb qui d\u00e9bordent du jardin pour investir les pl\u00e2tres \u00e9clectiques du Palais des Beaux-Arts de la ville de Paris. Anne Hidalgo, en visite, semblait appr\u00e9cier le menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
