Livre Biotope anatomie truculente d’une chute. Orly Castel-Bloom nous balade de Tel-Aviv \u00e0 Arromanches sur les pas d’un anti-h\u00e9ros et de son teckel. Une observation tragi-comique qui va de Balzac aux kibboutzs<\/strong> et ausculte le bizzare : celui d’un homme et d’une ville.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Shimel vivait dans une banlieue verte de Tel Aviv. Quand il \u00e9tait professeur de fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l’universit\u00e9. Avant son licenciement. Le d\u00e9but d’une longue chute qui le m\u00e8ne d’abord dans un immeuble qui tremble au rythme infernal de la circulation. Mais Joseph Shimel s’adapte. \u00c0 tout ou presque. Aux SDF, aux migrants fran\u00e7ais en Isra\u00ebl. Joseph Shimel est un anti-h\u00e9ros r\u00e9silient mais aux facult\u00e9s de discernement limit\u00e9es. De la chair \u00e0 escroc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’imp\u00e9ratif d’observation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orly Castel-Bloom observe et d\u00e9crit chaque \u00ab\u00a0biotope\u00a0\u00bb de son looser \u00e0 Tel-Aviv Avec une pr\u00e9cision piquante et une imagination burlesque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La vie dans l’appartement ? \u00ab\u00a0Je pr\u00e9pare mes repas \u00e0 des moments tranquilles, et il ne me reste plus qu’\u00e0 les r\u00e9chauffer au micro-ondes, alors je rentre dans la cuisine et j’en ressors \u00e0 toute vitesse : une premi\u00e8re fois pour mettre le plat dans le micro-ondes, et une autre, pour le ressortir. Aux heures o\u00f9 la circulation est fluide, y compris quand les bus secouent la cuisine, je mange un yaourt ou une part de g\u00e2teau. J’ai pris l’habitude de manger debout et d’avaler presque sans m\u00e2cher\u00a0\u00bb. Un comble pour un \u00ab\u00a0sp\u00e9cialiste\u00a0\u00bb de la gastronomie dans l’\u0153uvre de Balzac !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SDF, fast-foods, climat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Autre \u00e9l\u00e9ment du biotope : les SDF shoot\u00e9s \u00e0 la m\u00e9thadone. Joseph s’en accommode. D’ailleurs il baptise les sans-abris. Sur des crit\u00e8res g\u00e9om\u00e9triques, en fonction de leur inclinaison. Il y a donc l’\u00c9querre et Cent-Quatre-vingt-dix-degr\u00e9s. Une constante, aucun SDF n’est droit … \u00e0 l’image de Tel-Aviv. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph observe le chaos urbain et le changement climatique depuis sa fen\u00eatre et en promenant son teckel, Foxy dans la fournaise. Parmi les pigeons ob\u00e8ses et une kyrielle de fast-foods. Sous un soleil implacable qui balaie la diversit\u00e9. Les SDF ressemblent aux \u00c9rythr\u00e9ens tandis que les les Fran\u00e7ais f\u00e9rus de bord de mer prennent la m\u00eame couleur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s un h\u00e9ritage surprise l’ancien presque professeur part en Normandie. Terre d’inspiration balzacienne. Autre biotope. L’occasion d’une nouvelle s\u00e9rie de descriptions dignes d’une entomologiste fac\u00e9tieuse. Sur les plages peupl\u00e9es de g\u00e9rants N\u00e9erlandais m\u00fbrs pour l’EPHAD. Comme sur la flore locale, le mobilier, le vaisselier, la literie de la maison l\u00e9gu\u00e9s par la grand-m\u00e8re normande de Joseph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y a chez Orly Castel-Bloom, un devoir ou un imp\u00e9ratif d’observation. Chaque d\u00e9tail ajoute de la densit\u00e9 et de la couleur \u00e0 la chute de son anti-h\u00e9ros. Chaque pr\u00e9cision ancre le r\u00e9cit dans la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 isra\u00e9lienne ou le biotope fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La chute de Balzac aux kibboutzs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orly Castel-Bloom interroge la chute. D’abord \u00e0 travers les choix. Joseph a le don de faire les mauvais. Mauvais deal \u00e0 la fac, mauvaises rencontres suivies d’investissements ruineux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compte en banque \u00e0 sec, Joseph Shimel rejoint une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans l’adaptation des arrivants hexagonaux. Un business juteux. Nouveau d\u00e9classement avec en acm\u00e9 l’accueil \u00e0 l’a\u00e9roport en version \u00a0\u00bb taxi\u00a0\u00bb pancarte brandie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y a une chaine causale dans les chutes. Joseph rencontre Dvir, escroc es toutes cat\u00e9gories et proche du cabinet d’accueil. Il investit d’abord dans le monument hommage \u00e0 la famille de Dvir, tu\u00e9e dans l’attentat de Netanya en 2002. Ensuite dans les climatiseurs. Un choix fatal pour lui comme pour la plan\u00e8te d’ailleurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On se demande alors pourquoi Joseph qui \u00e9tait en r\u00e9mission d’\u00e9chec en Normandie replonge. Certes le personnage est d\u00e9cal\u00e9 et son rapport \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est insolite. Mais la chute du looser est peut-\u00eatre aussi le miroir d’une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en vrille. Joseph vit dans un monde tr\u00e9pidant et discriminant loin des id\u00e9aux \u00ab\u00a0kibboutz\u00a0\u00bb des origines. En d\u00e9calage lui aussi, voire en d\u00e9rapage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biotope est un cruel r\u00e9gal d’\u00e9tranget\u00e9 et de d\u00e9calage. Ceux de son h\u00e9ros et de sa ville, Tel-Aviv. R\u00e9sultat, une com\u00e9die humaine et animale un rien balzacienne, copieusement kafka\u00efenne.<\/p>\n\n\n
