Doroth\u00e9e Gilbert, \u00e9toile de l’op\u00e9ra Garnier, d\u00e9dicace sa biographie \u00e9ponyme dans un corner du Buddha bar Paris. \u00ab\u00a0Regarde ce sont mes notes quand j’avais \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s ton \u00e2ge. Pas top tu vois\u00a0\u00bb sourit-elle on s’adressant \u00e0 une tr\u00e8s jeune ballerine \u00ab\u00a0Alors accroche-toi et travaille\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Pas de recette miracle donc dans cette biographie mais des maitres mots : pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance, assiduit\u00e9, mental d’acier.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Si j’arrive \u00e0 incarner un personnage c’est que j’ai travaill\u00e9 encore et encore la technique jusqu’\u00e0 l’oublier pour me consacrer enti\u00e8rement \u00e0 l’interpr\u00e9tation\u00a0\u00bb explique la danseuse.
Oui mais pour \u00eatre \u00c9toile il faut peut-\u00eatre un peu de magie, un petit quelque chose qui fait la diff\u00e9rence. Quoi ? Pour certains le jugement des pairs, pour d’autres un simple mot : la gr\u00e2ce.<\/p>\n

Le livre s’ouvre sur une blessure : \u00ab\u00a0La danseuse au pied trou\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Doroth\u00e9e Gilbert raconte comment suite \u00e0 une fracture du deuxi\u00e8me m\u00e9tatarse -un petit carr\u00e9 d\u00b4os \u00e0 la base de l’orteil- elle a d\u00fb arr\u00eater de danser pendant plusieurs mois. Un calvaire tant physique que moral. Mais avec son temp\u00e9rament revendiqu\u00e9 de guerri\u00e8re, l’\u00c9toile a vaincu le mal malgr\u00e9 des th\u00e9rapies hasardeuses et a pu recommencer \u00e0 danser.<\/p>\n

Oui danser c’est dur, c’est parfois m\u00eame une torture. Les pieds martyris\u00e9s de ballerines font de plus en plus souvent l’objet de reportages.<\/p>\n

Danser, la Toulousaine le fait depuis l’\u00e2ge de 11 ans. Dans sa biographie Doroth\u00e9e Gilbert raconte ses d\u00e9buts \u00e0 l’\u00e9cole de danse de l’Op\u00e9ra de Paris en 1995. Elle est externe et ses parents quittent la Ville Rose pour l’accompagner. Pas question d’abandonner leur fille n\u00e9e pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment et choy\u00e9e comme une cr\u00e9ature fr\u00eale et fragile qu’elle s’av\u00e9rera ne pas \u00eatre.<\/p>\n

Paris, c’est le d\u00e9but d’une longue s\u00e9rie d’\u00e9preuves o\u00f9, une nouvelle fois, le travail est mis en avant comme une valeur sacr\u00e9e qui prend ses racines dans l’histoire familiale.<\/p>\n

Doroth\u00e9e Gilbert parle \u00e9videmment de ses moments de doute et de solitude Mais la ballerine ne tombe pas dans le pathos et livre des anecdotes qui respirent la fra\u00eecheur. Ainsi, le jour de ses 18 ans, elle passe la soir\u00e9e \u00e0 pleurer d\u00e9sesp\u00e9rant de trouver un petit ami. Comme dans tout conte de f\u00e9e les choses s’arrangent. La jolie Doroth\u00e9e s\u00e9duit un danseur gay puis un Don Juan avant de trouver l’\u00e2me s\u0153ur. De ce bel amour na\u00eetra une petite fille, Lily, habilement mise en sc\u00e8ne dans l’iconographie. Notons que la plupart des clich\u00e9s du livre sont ceux de James Bort, le compagnon de l’\u00c9toile.<\/p>\n

Une \u00e9toile qui comme deux autres avant elle a bataill\u00e9 pour pouponner avant la retraite – 40 ans jusqu’en 2005.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0\u00c9toile\u00a0\u00bb est une biographie agr\u00e9able, sinc\u00e8re mais sans surprise qui rappelle les fondamentaux de l’Art, les dures r\u00e9alit\u00e9s et les batailles \u00e0 mener.
Un joli livre \u00e0 offrir pour la Saint-Valentin par exemple.<\/p>\n
